A Page Dedicated To The Bird Of Eternal Fire, The Phoenix, Bird Of Arabia
On this page I will tell you the legend of the phoenix as best as I can and tell you what the phoenix has began to represent over all these years.

Legend Of The Phoenix Most people only know of the phoenix because of it's powers of rebirth.(Please note that I've read many variations of the Phoenix legend so this one may be a bit jumbled)
What most people don't know is that the phoenix lives near a well in Arabia, where it sings it's songs of praise to the Sun God, who gave it eternal life. At the end of it's lifespan, (a mere 1,500 years or so), It flies all over the desaerts, collecting mhyre(?) and all sorts of spices and all sorts of nice smelling things. It then builds it's nest out of what it has collected on top if a palm tree where it sings a beutaful last song to the Sun God.
The sun blazes down upon the nest, all other animals and humans run for shelter but, the phoenix stays in it's nest untill it (and the nest) go up in flames.
When the sun dies down all that is left in the nest is a heap of silvery grey ash. Not the nest or tree are burned.
From amongst the ashes rises a new Phoenix, just as beautaful and strong as its parent.
The young Phoenix then takes up the ashes in it's talons and lays them in the temple of the Sun God, where it sings it's first song of praise to the Sun God.

Phoenix from Final Fantasy 8
What Does The Phoenix Looks Like? There have been many different descriptions of the phoenix but the most common pne is the eagle like bird with scarlet and gold plumage, almost like fire. It has strong talons and (I imagine) a long, beautaful glittering tail. It has a charming song, but only sings to the Sun God. It's eyes have an itelligent glimmer about them and it feeds only on aromatic spices.

A flame animation......It has something to do with the phoenix, try and guess what it is! ^ ^
What The Phoenix Represents Over the years the phoenix has begun to represent hope, rebirth, the future and grace. It is a symbol to most people and is a common logo through out the world.
To me it means life, life to be and life past. I also believe in reincarnation and believe the phoenix is real. I hope to find it one day.
